Biography

2013: Named the RMAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year at the conference’s media day in early August … He’s also been tabbed as a preseason All-American by USA College Football … He’s rushed for 3,128 yards in his career, which ranks him fourth all-time at Chadron State and he’s 1,340 yards shy of second place … He’s rushed for over 100 yards 16 times in 31 games.
2012: He continued to etch his name in the Chadron State College history books with a fantastic junior season … He rushed for 1,350 yards on 217 carries (6.7 yards/attempt) and was named to the All-RMAC and All-Nebraska Division II First Teams following the season … He averaged 112.5 yards rushing per game and scored seven touchdowns … He also had 21 receptions for 218 yards and a TD … “He’s a ferocious tailback and a great leader,” Long said. “We lean on him a lot.” … He rushed for over 100 yards in six games and he eclipsed the 200-yard barrier twice, including a career-high 245 yards against Western New Mexico … He also rushed for 205 yards against No. 2-ranked CSU-Pueblo and 198 against Adams State … Following the season, he was named a CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-American … He has accumulated over 4,000 all-purpose yards in his career.
2011: He missed the first three games of the season after suffering a broken hand during preseason camp but returned with a cast in the fourth game and proceeded to rush for 768 yards on 172 carries and scoring five touchdowns … He averaged 96 yards a game to rank near the top of the RMAC and added 19 receptions for 105 yards … He ran for over 100 yards in four of the eight games he played in, including a season-high 148 yards against Western New Mexico … His career rushing yards per game total is 94.1 yards, which ranks him fourth all-time at Chadron State … Glen’s average of 134 all-purpose yards per game is the fifth-best total in school history … He was an RMAC All-Conference Third Team selection and was named All-Nebraska Division II honorable mention … He was also a first team choice to the RMAC’s All-Academic squad … Also participated in track and field, tying for third at the RMAC Indoor Meet after pole vaulting 14-7 ¾.
2010: Had one of the more special seasons a freshman ball carrier has ever had, culminating in being named the RMAC’s Freshman of the Year … He rushed for 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns and caught 24 passes for 179 yards … He is the ninth player to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season at Chadron State and the second freshman to ever do it … The first was Danny Woodhead … Clinton entered fall camp as a wide receiver but he adjusted to tailback just fine … He had only 23 yards through the first two games but burst out of the gates against Western State in the third game of the season, rushing for 169 yards … He followed that with two more 100-yard efforts and after a tough game against UNK added three more 100-yard games, including his career-high of 182 against Western New Mexico … Clinton’s most memorable moment of 2010 came when he returned a kickoff 88 yards with just over a minute remaining to defeat Colorado School of Mines … He was named the team’s offensive MVP and was also on the RMAC All-Conference Second Team … He was named the Nebraska Division II Player of the Week three times and was also on Don Hansen’s Super Region III Third Team … He had 19 plays over 20 yards and averaged over 150 all-purpose yards a game … He also participated in outdoor track and field, competing in the pole vault and finishing seventh at the conference meet.
2009: Redshirted during his first season at CSC … He was the hero of the spring game when he kicked the game-winning 46-yard field goal … He also caught an 80-yard touchdown … Excelled for the track and field team, finishing second at both the RMAC indoor and outdoor championships in the pole vault … He had never competed in outdoor track and field because he played soccer in high school, but managed to clear 15-4 ¼, which at the time was the second best mark in school history.
High School: A versatile athlete who played both offense and defense for Cody High School as a three-year starter ... Only saw action in four games after suffering a knee injury but he rushed for 151 yards and one touchdown and made nine receptions for 68 yards and a TD in 2008 ... Also made 16 tackles, broke up three passes and had two interceptions … He was all-state and all-conference in high school … Was a 4.0 student in high school … Also played soccer and ran indoor track.
Personal: A human biology major with a 3.6 GPA … Son of Bill and Kate Clinton … Has an older brother, Mike … Born December 11.
