Biography

Had a terrific athletic career at Hemingford High…Averaged 17.5 points for the basketball team as a senior in 2012-13, finished her career with 1,031 points and was among the state’s track and field standouts…Last spring, she was second in Class C at the Nebraska State Meet in both hurdle races with career-best times of 14.91 seconds in the 100 highs and 44.80 in the 300 lows….The marks were third and fourth in the meet’s all-class standings…She also was fourth in the Class C 100 dash and seventh in the long jump at state, and had career-best marks of 12.57 and 17-5 ½ in those events last spring…Also was the school’s valedictorian in May…Opened the current season by winning the pentathlon at the Black Hills State Open in early December by scoring 3,399 points…Only two CSC women, Caryn Martin and Amanda Owens, both All-Americans in the multis during their careers, had ever scored more points in the pentathlon….Daughter of Ron Wood and Tricia Olson…A pre-dentistry major.
