2011-12: Joined the Eagles at the onset of the spring semester and compiled a 9-5 record at 174 pounds … He performed well in duals, going 6-2 against RMAC competition … He finished sixth at the RMAC West Regional but is expected to challenge for an NCAA bid this season.
Before CSC: Tied for Duke’s team lead with 27 wins from 174 pounds in 2010-11 … Finished the year 27-12 overall … Registered 18 pins in those 27 victories, including nine in the first period … Won the NC State Open and Appalachian State Open titles … Took third at the Keystone Classic and The Citadel Open … He competed unattached at 174 pounds in 2009-10 and finished the year with a 12-5 overall record, earning two top-five tournament finishes ... Led the team with nine falls on the year.
High School: He posted a 203-10 career record, including going 116-0 in his final two years ... A two-time state champion and four-time conference and regional champion ... Captured top honors in Wyoming at 160 pounds as both a junior and senior ... Registered a total of 94 pins his final two years and 143 for his prep career ... Earned runner-up honors at the Wisconsin state championship at 140 pounds as a sophomore and took fifth his rookie season in Wisconsin ... Took seventh at senior nationals in 2009 ... Also competed in the Rocky Mountain Regionals in 2008, taking second in Greco Roman and first in freestyle ... Wyoming Jr. Duals member and helped his team go 10-1 in freestyle and Greco Roman in 2008 ... Also earned three letters in football and was all-state as a senior ... Took third in the state in the 100-meter dash, fourth in the 200, and third in the 4x100 relay ... Was a member of the National Honor Society.
