Kevin was a four-time National Tournament qualifier who capped his career by placing fourth at 174 pounds in 1999.
A cracked sternum early in his senior season caused him to miss several tournaments and undoubtedly kept him from winning 100 matches. His career record is 92-51. He pinned 38 of his opponents and was pinned just three times during his collegiate career.
He was the RMAC 167-pound champion in 1997. A crowd-pleaser, Kevin often fell behind in the first period, made up a few points in the second and then came on like gang-busters down the stretch for the victory.
His coach, Scott Ritzen, once said, “If the matches had been 10 minutes long, he’d have won them all.”
Kevin received first-team All-Academic honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association twice and was a second-team choice another year while majoring in criminal justice.
Kevin and his family live in Rozet, Wyoming, near his hometown of Gillette. He has worked for Anakarko Petroleum the past 14 years, the last five as a measurement foreman. His wife is the former Kellie Tully, also a 1999 CSC graduate.  They have a daughter Lainee and a son Tully.
