CHADRON, Neb. -- April 11, 2019 -- The groundbreaking ceremony for Chadron State College's new track & field facility, originally scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m., will be tentatively rescheduled for Wednesday, April 24th at 10 a.m. after a blizzard moved into the area, closing campus on Wednesday and Thursday.

In addition, other athletic events on campus could be affected.

CSC and Dixie State have softball doubleheaders scheduled for Saturday and Sunday which the teams will attempt to play as scheduled with DSU limited on travel flexibility. They will reserve the option to play three games on Sunday if the field cannot be made playable in time to play twice on Saturday. 

Football coaches will make a determination Friday by afternoon about Saturday's Spring Game, pending the campus's snow removal efforts.
