Kirk Durtsche had a breakout game for the Eagles in the 24-16 loss to NMHU on Saturday. His 14 total tackles in the game was second only to teammate Clay Cundall's 15, but his biggest contribution was his clutch interception at the CSC 16 when the Cowboys were threatening to score late in the third quarter. Earlier on the same drive, he tackled the NMHU ball carrier in the backfield for a loss of a yard.
