Team Medical Facility
Chadron State College Athletics has partnered with Monument Health medical system to take care of our athletes. They are located in Rapid City, SD. Our team physician is on campus once a week to look at athletes (free of charge) and is around for most game days. If the athlete needs to be seen by a surgeon, we can arrange for the athlete to be taken to Rapid City to see the team surgeon.

Physicals
Chadron State College does not accept outside physicals. All physicals are done through the Monument Health system to help achieve high quality exams and continuity of care. Athletes don’t need to worry about setting up an appointment with them as the sports medicine staff sets aside a few days in the fall to take athletes to Rapid City, SD to get their physicals done as a group. If an athlete plans to come to Chadron earlier than the fall move-in date, please contact an athletic trainer to set up a separate date.
Sickle Cell Trait Testing
Per the NCAA, every incoming athlete must have proof of a sickle cell trait test before they participate in team related activity. Chadron State Sports Medicine staff welcomes any test results that you may have, since most athletes are tested when they’re born. If you cannot provide proof of your sickle cell trait status, the sports medicine staff will arrange for you to be tested when you get to campus. Please note that these results can take up to 5 days to be returned to you.
Medical Paperwork
Chadron State athletes are required to fill out medical paperwork for them to participate and use our facilities. The sports medicine staff uses the Front Rush system to achieve this. Athletes under the age of 19 are considered minors in the state of Nebraska and their legal guardians need sign these forms, as well. An email will be sent to the athlete once they have access to the forms. Linked below is the Front Rush website and instructions for how to log in.
