CSC's Stachia Reuwsaat took the NCAA Division II lead in the long jump (6.07m) by over six inches in the first week of the indoor track and field season, competing at the Yellow Jacket Holiday Open on Saturday. Converted to standard units of measurement, her leap of 19 feet, 11 inches, was good enough to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Championships in that event, defeating the second place finisher at the meet by over a foot and a half. Stachia also competed in and won the 60 meter dash, coming in with a time of 7.67 seconds, tying her for seventh-best in the nation.
