Alejandro Garcia led the Eagles' cross country team to victory in last week's home meet, completing the hilly 8-kilometer course in 25 minutes and 26 seconds, finishing a full minute ahead of his competitors. Garcia ran the course at a staggering 5 minutes and 7 seconds per mile; at last year's open, Garcia ran a 6-kilometer race at a 5 minute and 12 second per mile pace. He owns the 3rd best 8k race in program history.
