Sophomore Preston Renner earned a 3-2 decision over Jasiah Williams of Pueblo, who had, in previous seasons, been ranked as high as fifth in the nation. Renner scored the first and only takedown of the match in the third period, tied 1-1, to edge the fifth-year senior, who had only lost six previous matches while at Pueblo.
