Box Score DENVER – Metro State's Kylie Haun had a match-high 10 kills and the Roadrunners hit .260 as a team to turn back Chadron State 25-15, 25-21, 25-10 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
In addition to Haun, who also served two aces, Amy Wong had nine kills and Lauren Quijano added eight more to help the Roadrunners improve to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Chadron State, now 2-7 and 0-1 and in the RMAC, will play Regis today (Saturday) at 5 p.m.
The Roadrunners hit over .300 in both the first and third sets but the Eagles battled with them in the second. CSC posted a team hitting percentage of .109 took the lead three different times during the second set.
Four Chadron State players had at least five kills.
Mollie Jones finished with a team-high six kills, while
Erika Roybal,
Mallory Irvine and
Lexi Hoagland each had five apiece. Irvine also led the Eagles with three blocks.

Justine Ackie had 14 set assists and
Kristina Harter had a match-high 12 digs.
