ThunderWolves topple Eagles

Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado State University-Pueblo hit .273 as a team and the ThunderWolves snapped a six-match losing streak with a 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Chadron State College Thursday at Massari Arena.

The Eagles will be back in action at Western State Friday evening.

Erika Roybal led Chadron State (3-17, 0-11 RMAC) with eight kills. Jessica Jester added six kills and a team-high four blocks.

Also for Chadron State, Alyssa Bauer had 11 digs and Justine Ackie handed out 17 set assists.

Brianna Bryant led CSU-Pueblo, now 8-13 overall and 5-7 in the RMAC, with 12 kills and three blocks. Morgan Wilkening added eight kills and 12 digs and Sierra Moran chipped in seven more kills.

The ThunderWolves committed just 11 attack errors as a team. Kacy Griffin, who was named the RMAC All-Academic Player of the Year earlier in the week, had a match-high 36 set assists and Katie Burnett finished with 14 digs.
