Box Score GUNNISON, Colo. – Four Chadron State College volleyball players had double-digit kills and the Eagles snapped their 15-match losing streak with a four set (21-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-21) Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Western State Friday.

Chadron State will look to keep its momentum today (Saturday) when it plays at Adams State. First serve is set for 7 p.m.

Erika Roybal and
Ana Kasljevic had 12 kills apiece,
Barbie DeCent added 11 and
Alia Brennan provided 10 more to help lift the Eagles to its first conference win this season.

After dropping a close first set – there were seven ties and two lead changes – the Eagles responded emphatically in the second set. Chadron State trailed 24-20 but scored seven of the next eight points to tie the match at one set apiece.

In the third set, the Eagles forced the Mountaineers to hit into a negative hitting percentage – Kasljevic and Brennan each finished with a team-high five blocks – and CSC put things away in the fourth set by hitting .195.

The Eagles' defense also played well.
Brittany Oddo led Chadron State with 16 digs, DeCent had 15 and Roybal added 14.
