CHADRON – After winning two of its last three matches, the Chadron State College volleyball team hopes to continue playing well when it wraps up the season this weekend in Denver.
Â
The Eagles will play the Regis Rangers at 7 p.m. on Friday and the Metro State Roadrunners at 5 p.m. Saturday. Both opponents are 11-6 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference playoff and have clinched the spot in the conference playoffs set for next week by being among the top eight teams in the standings.
Â
The Eagles, who are 3-14 in the RMAC, have played many close contests this season, but frequently came out on the short end of the score. That changed recently when they edged Colorado Christian and Colorado-Colorado Springs in five-set verdicts.
Â
Metro won in four sets and Regis prevailed in three when those teams visited Chadron State in September.      Â
