Regis turns back CSC

Box Score DENVER – Katie Klein had 12 kills and Caitie Breaux added 10 more as the Regis volleyball team swept Chadron State (25-19, 25-19, 25-19) Friday night during their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match.
 
Regis, which has already secured its berth in the RMAC postseason volleyball tournament next week, improves to 16-11 overall and 12-6 in the conference. Chadron falls to 6-22 and 3-15 in the RMAC. The Eagles will close out their season today (Saturday) at Metro State.
 
The Rangers controlled much of the match, hitting .248 as a team and posting 11 total blocks, while Chadron State hit .044 as a team and finished with seven blocks.
 
Nikki Schmidt and Jessica Jester each led the Eagles with eight kills apiece. The duo also combined to assist on eight blocks. Alia Brennan added seven kills and Erika Roybal and Barbie DeCent each had four kills to help spur the CSC offense.
 
Also for CSC, Alyssa Bauer finished with a match-high 13 digs and Justine Ackie had 29 set assists.
