CHADRON – The Chadron State College men's and women's basketball teams will host a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games this weekend at Armstrong Gymnasium. The games will be the final competition for both the Eagle men and women in 2013.

Action begins Friday at 5:30 p.m. when the CSC women host Regis and the men's game against Regis follows at 7:30. On Saturday, CSC will host Metro State in another women's and men's double header.

Regis is 4-3 on the season and 2-1 in the RMAC. Senior Tae'lor Purdy leads the Rangers with 21.6 points and 12.1 rebounds and her younger sister, Bay'lee, is second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points a game.

Metro State is 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the league. Three players have all scored over 80 points in seven games this season. Cassie Lambrecht and Amy Nelson both average 11.7 points and Tai Jensen isn't far behind at 11.6. Jensen and Nelson are also the leading rebounds at 7.9 per game.

The Chadron State women are 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the RMAC.
Kayli Rageth leads CSC with 16.3 points per game and
Kattie Ranta is close behind with 15.8 points and 11.3 rebounds. Ranta and Purdy are two of the three players in the conference who are averaging double doubles. Â

The Regis men's team opened the season strongly by winning three of its first four games but has struggled recently, losing four consecutive contests. Jarrett Green leads the Rangers with 15.5 points per game and Kevin Marshall averages 11.8. The Eagles own five straight wins over Regis.

Sixth-ranked Metro State (6-1, 3-0 RMAC) could provide the Eagles with one of their stiffest tests all season. Three players average over 15 points and the Roadrunners are outscoring their foes by 16 points a game. Brandon Jefferson leads the way with 21.7 points and Mitch McCarron adds 15.3 points and 7.4 rebounds.

The Roadrunners' lone loss came at Western Washington, a 72-69 setback, but they made history earlier this season by winning three games against Division I opponents in the NIT Season Tip-Off. Metro State lost to Rhode Island but then defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, Elon and Canisus. All four games were exhibitions for the Roadrunners.

The Chadron State men won its first three games of the season but have lost four of its last five. Three players are averaging in double figures.
Zac Bargen leads the team with 12.9 points a game,
Grant Stone is next at 10.8 and
Evan Brooks averages 10.3. Bargen is also the leading rebounder with 5.6.
