Metro State upends CSC in four sets

Box Score CHADRON – Metro State's Kylie Haun finished with 17 kills and Alysa Heath added 11 more as the Roadrunners upended Chadron State College in four spirited sets (25-23, 25-14, 19-25, 25-21) during the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener for both teams Friday.
 
The Eagles, now 3-6 overall and 0-1 in the RMAC, will host Regis University Saturday at 6 p.m. for Family Day.
 
Friday's match was close throughout. It featured eight ties, including four in the nip and tuck first set, and the lead changed hands four times. However, Metro State managed to hit .143 as a team and took advantage of eight CSC serve-receive errors.
 
Haun finished with a match-high 17 kills for Metro (5-4, 1-0 RMAC), while Heath added 11 more and four blocks. Betty Van Lith provided 43 set assists and libero Alex Green finished with 17 digs.
 
The Eagles, who hit .110 as a team, had a balanced offensive attack.
