Regis sweeps CSC

Box Score CHADRON – Caitie Breaux and Katie Klein each had 12 kills and the No. 23 ranked Regis Rangers hit .255 as a team to sweep Chadron State 25-11, 25-22, 25-14 Saturday night at Armstrong Gymnasium.
 
With the win Regis improves to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while Chadron State falls to 3-7 and 0-2 in the league.
 
The Rangers cruised in their opening set by hitting .483. In addition to solid play from Klein and Breaux, Diamond Ridley-Pierce and Sage Martinson had eight and six kills, respectively.
 
Setter Jaclyn Williamson ran the offensive show smoothly. She had a match-high 40 set assists and added three service aces and nine digs.
 
The Eagles controlled a majority of the second set – there was five ties and one lead change – but Regis' play at the net proved to be the difference. In all, the Rangers finished the match with 12 blocks.
 
Erkia Roybal paced the Chadron State offense with six kills, while Hanna Flaming added five. Jessica Jester had four kills and four blocks and Justine Ackie finished with 10 set assists.
 
Also for Chadron State, Brittany Oddo had 12 digs.
