Box Score DENVER – Metro State's Deni Jacobs scored 22 points and added a team-high seven rebounds to lead the Roadrunners to a wire-to-wire 83-62 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Chadron State College Friday.
With the win, Metro State improves to 8-10 overall and 7-7 in the RMAC. Chadron State, which will play at Regis University Saturday at 3 p.m., falls to 3-15 and 3-11 in the league.
While Jacobs scored a game-high 22 points, she wasn't alone in leading the Roadrunners to victory. Amy Nelson added 18 points and six other Metro players found the scoring column. Both Nelson and Jacobs made eight field goals apiece.
For the game, Metro State shot 45 percent from the field (30 of 67) and turned 22 Chadron State turnovers into 28 points.
The Eagles hit 38 percent of their shots (21 of 55) and turned 15 offensive rebounds in 14 points.
Dallas Shaw led Chadron State with 19 points and
Kattie Ranta finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.
