Box Score SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State shot 52.3 percent from the field and won its seventh straight game with an 89-45 victory over Chadron State on Thursday night during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's basketball game.

The Yellow Jackets, now 8-4 for the season and 7-2 in the RMAC, took charge by outscoring the Eagles 29-6 in the final eight minutes of the first half to build a 46-23 halftime bulge.

Junior guard Calli Bechtel, the Jackets' leading scorer at 15 points a game, led with 19 points while Chelsey Biegler contributed 16 points and Courtney Patterson 14.

Chadron State was paced by
Kattie Ranta's 17 points. Another CSC senior,
Kayli Rageth, added 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for her third consecutive double-double.

Black Hills sank 34 of 65 field goal attempts, including nine of 17 from 3-point range, and was 12 of 16 from the free throw line.

The Eagles were 18 of 54 overall from the field and just four of 20 from behind the arc. They were only five of nine at the charity stripe.

The next game for Chadron State, now 1-12 and 1-8, will be Friday, Jan. 17 when it hosts New Mexico Highlands.
