Box Score DENVER - Regis University's Taelor Purdy had a game-high 20 points and added five rebounds to lead the Rangers to a 90-59 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Chadron State Saturday afternoon.
The Rangers' (10-8, 8-6 RMAC) offense proved lethal from the outside as they knocked down eight of 16 three-pointers in the first half to secure a 49-25 lead at the half. Regis continued to execute offensively and would see its advantage increase to as many as 35 in the second half.
For the game, Regis forced 23 turnovers and limited Chadron State to 47.1 percent from the field and 50 percent from the charity stripe.
Two Eagles reached double figures for the Eagles.
Kattie Ranta paced the Eagles with 17 points and added five rebounds and
Kayli Rageth sank 14 points and had a team-high six rebounds.
Leana Tajkov and
Kate Simonton chipped in six points each and
Dallas Shaw added five points and four boards.
The Eagles will host home games on Friday and Saturday against Western State and Colorado Mesa, respectively. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. for both games.
