CHADRON – Chadron State College's volleyball team will start Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play with a three-match road swing, beginning Thursday in Alamosa, Colorado, when the Eagles play Adams State University at 7 p.m. CSC will also face Western State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Colorado Mesa Saturday at 4 p.m.
  
Lelalelei Nomura, a transfer from Valdosta State University with 91 kills, leads Chadron State College. She hits .218 and also leads the team in aces with nine and has contributed 10 blocks.
 
Also leading the Eagles are 
Mariah Conyers with a team high 167 assists, 
Alyssa Bauer with 95 digs, and 
Alia Brennan with 19 total blocks.
 
Chadron's first match of the trip is Adams State (5-3).  The Grizzlies have a 5-1 record against unranked opponents, having lost to then No. 6 West Texas A&M and No. 4 University of Nebraska at Kearney.
 
The second stop on the trip is against WSCU who has a record of 0-4.
 
Colorado Mesa sits second in the conference and took the No. 2 ranked team Concordia-St. Paul to four sets before losing. Melissa Hess, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter, leads Colorado Mesa. She was named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season when she put down 48 kills and hit .448 during opening weekend.
 
Chadron State College will play its first home match Thursday, Sept. 25, against Western New Mexico.
