CSC wrestlers to dual Colorado Mines

The Chadron State College wrestling team will conclude its dual schedule on Wednesday by meeting Colorado School of Mines Mines in Golden, starting at 7 p.m.

The Eagles have an 8-8 season record and are 2-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Orediggers are 5-4 in duals and 2-3 in the RMAC.

Last week, both the Chadron State and Colorado Mines teams wrestled at New Mexico Highlands and Adams State.

The Highlands Cowboys bested the Eagles 22-10 while winning four matches by two or fewer points and two more by three points on Thursday night. The next night, Mines beat Highlands 24-18.

Both teams defeated Adams State.  Chadron State won 27-17 on Friday night and Mines won 26-21 on Saturday night.

The Eagles blanked Mines 50-0 when the teams met a year ago.

After visiting the Orediggers, the Eagles will have two weeks to get ready for the Super Region 4 Tournament to be Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27 and 28 at Colorado State-Pueblo.  Mines will be on the road to dual Colorado Mesa and Western State prior to the regional tourney.
