SPEARFISH, S.D. – Chadron State College men's basketball team fell to Black Hills State University Saturday night in Spearfish, South Dakota. The Yellow Jackets won 79-65 in both teams' final Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game of the season.

BHSU (9-19, 7-14 RMAC) jumped out to an early lead, 20-7, in the first eight minutes of the game. The Eagles (7-18, 6-15 RMAC) would score the next eight points, but the Yellow Jackets jumped back out after a 15-6 run, leading at half 37 to 23. After the break, Black Hills State went on another run, leading by as much as 24 points. CSC would never recover the deficit, losing 79-65.

Black Hills State University's starting five combined for all but three of the team's total points. Yoshio Allen led all scorers with 20 points, with Nick Ongarato adding 18 while both Brady Bisgaard and Brody Brisk had 16. The four scorers shot a combined 25-for-44 from the field. Guard Wyatt Krogman had a team-high six assists while Allen had eight rebounds.

Chadron State seniors
Christopher Smith and
Michael Safer led the team in scoring with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Kendrick Holliman added nine points, while
Roderick Butler and
Davante McCallam had eight a piece.

Also for CSC, McCallam tore down a game-high nine rebounds.

CSC struggled from beyond the arc, hitting only three 3-point shots compared to BHSU's 11. Black Hills outshot Chadron State, 49 percent to 45 percent.
