The Chadron State College Athletes of the Week are Taylor Bauer and Charith Kapukotuwa.
 
Bauer, a sophomore from Rapid City, led the Eagles to two wins over the University of Colorado Colorado Springs last weekend. Bauer had a team-high .538 batting average, including a double and three home runs. She drove in six runs as well as leading the team in scoring with six runs.
 
Kapukotowa, a senior from Sri Lanka, won both the men's shot put and discus at the Kit Mayer Memorial Open in Golden, Colorado. Both marks were national provisional marks, setting him in eighth in the nation in discus.
