CHADRON, Neb. -- Chadron State College volleyball will wrap up its 2016 season Friday and Saturday at home, as they host Colorado Christian University and AVCA No. 22 Colorado School of Mines at the Chicoine Center in Chadron. Matches begin at 6 p.m. both nights.

Both are familiar opponents, as the Eagles visited both schools in the Denver area, just two weeks prior. 

Chadron State will look to avenge a couple of three-set losses that they incurred on their Denver trip at the end of October.

Playing one of their better matches of the season, the Eagles still fell short against Mines as the Orediggers also played one of their best, hitting over .400 and limiting total errors to 18.

Sophomore hitter Janice Jin went off for 11 kills with no errors to lead Mines in that match with a .733 hitting percentage and two total blocks. Middle Blocker Madison Beher added 10 kills and had three solo blocks.

Colorado Christian, who visits Friday, has been on a tear over the past three weeks, winning five straight contests including the win over CSC, to climb from the middle of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings to where they are currently situated at fourth.

Capping their five-match streak was a 3-2 win over the nationally-ranked Orediggers on Tuesday.

Saturday night's match against Colorado Mines is also Senior Night for the three Eagles who will be graduating this season. Alia Brennan, Rudy Leasau, and Stephanie Wilson will be honored prior to the match.
