SALT LAKE CITY -- February 20, 2016 -- Despite 24 points and 18 boards from sophomore
Maka Daysh, the Chadron State College women's basketball team dropped a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference road contest to league newcomer Westminster College, 71-62, avenging an earlier CSC win in Chadron.
The game wasn't decided until the fourth quarter, when WC went 7-of-11 from the floor to push through an otherwise pedestrian showing on offense.
Aubrie Vale starred for Westminster, scoring 18 points on 7-of-13 field goal shooting, dishing out seven assists, and nabbing nine rebounds. She was a perfect 4-of-4 from the foul line. Vale also swiped four steals on defense.
For the Eagles, sophomore point
Kayla Mathews recorded six assists, versus only one turnover, for her best assist/turnover ratio of the season.
Erin Graham added 10 points.
CSC will play one more game, on Friday, February 26, to conclude their season.
