SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- December 19, 2017 -- Chadron State College guard Kalli Feddersen put up gaudy numbers statistically, but the Eagle women's basketball team dropped a 78-60 decision in a non-conference game at the University of Sioux Falls on Tuesday afternoon.

CSC's senior guard went to the line for 16 of her team's 20 total shots, hitting 13 of them. She put together a 23-point, 12-rebound game, adding four assists to lead the Eagles in all three categories.

However, the USF defense held the Chadron State shooters to just 7-of-26 from the field in the first half. Feddersen was 2-for-2 at the foul line to sum up the Eagles' free throw output in the first two quarters.

Only four fouls were called on each team in the first 20 minutes of the game.

The Cougars, meanwhile fed on the Eagles' mistakes, winning the turnover battle 13-3. That provided Sioux Falls with 11 extra possessions, which they converted into points early and often. They scored 29 points off turnovers, versus the Eagles' three.

The second half was more competitive, but Chadron was never able to close to within single digits. Feddersen had a phenomenal fourth quarter with 18 points on 4-of-4 shots from the field and 10-for-10 at the charity stripe. Sioux Falls held on with 7-of-15 field goals and 10-of-13 free throws in the final 10 minutes.

Sioux Falls was led by Kaely Hummel with 17 points. Augusta Thramer had 12 points, six assists, and six steals. Forward Jacey Huinker led her team with 12 rebounds to go with six points.

The Chadron State women visit the No. 21 Fort Lewis College Skyhawks on December 29, before visiting the Adams State Grizzlies, who are winless in conference.
