DENVER, Colo. – November 2, 2018 -- Chadron state College volleyball ended its season on Friday, falling in straight sets to MSU-Denver to finish 8-19 overall and 6-12 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The Roadrunners outhit the Eagles .207 to .099 and won 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.
Brooke Gardner led the Eagles for the second night in a row with eight kills and hit .148.
Aracely Hernandez recorded seven kills.
Senior
Madison Webb finished the night with five kills, a hit percentage of .714, 22 assists and 12 digs. Webb recently became the all-time assists leader for Chadron State College.
Fellow senior
Mickey Trimble led the Eagles in digs for the first time all season with 16 and
Ashton Burditt followed closely with 14.
Chandler Hageman once again led the team with three blocks.
Taylor Duryea had a match high 16 kills to lead the Roadrunners and hit .351. Jessa Megenhardt finished with 23 assists to pace MSU-Denver, while Mikaela Kubiak had 17.
Alyssa Kelling finished with a match high seven blocks and Lyric Hebert had a match high 19 digs.
"We're really proud of the seniors and everything they've done four the program, both on and off the court," Head Coach
Riann Mullis said. "They all created the standard for what we want them to do and I have been very fortunate to coach them."
The Eagles will lose seniors Webb, Trimble,
Dominika Senkerikova and
Megan Chintala but will have 15 returning players next season, including five seniors.
