CHADRON, Neb. -- The Chadron State College volleyball team prepares for its longest road trip of the season, as they travel nine hours to New Mexico Highlands and six to CSU-Pueblo this weekend.

The Eagles face Highlands on Friday and the Thunderwolves on Saturday. Both matches are set to begin at 7 p.m.

With a record of 1-18 overall and 0-11 in conference play, the Cowgirls are at the bottom of the RMAC standings.

Offensively, Highlands is led by Tiffany Matchett. Matchett has 287 kills, an average of 3.05 kills per set and an attack percentage of .201, leading the Cowgirls in each. Setter Celina Naranjo had 497 assists to lead the team.

Matchett leads the team with 357 digs, followed by Elana Rivera with 325. Taley Ferrari has a team high 63 blocks.

New Mexico Highlands is coached by Karli Salazar, who was named Interim Head Coach in September after the resignation of the former head coach.

Saturday's opponent, CSU-Pueblo, is coached by Austin Albers. Albers and CSC Head Coach
Jennifer Stadler both coached in the NJCAA Region IX the last five years.

The Thunderwolves are currently 9-11 overall and 6-5 in the RMAC. Last season, Pueblo finished 5-12 overall and 3-15 in the conference.

As Matchett does for Highlands, Brooke Schilling leads the Thunderwolves in kills, attack percentage and kills per set. She has 211 kills with an attack percentage of .240 and 2.64 kills per set on the season.

Grace Hern leads the team with 411 assists.

Defensivley, Kyle Meltzer has a team high 295 digs for CSU-Pueblo. Jazzy Espinoza leads the Thunderwolves with 82 total blocks.

The Eagles return home Novemeber 8 as they host Black Hills State.
