GREENWOOD, Ind. -- November 14, 2019 – For the fourth time ever, a Chadron State College volleyball player was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® First Team by sports information directors in Super Region 4, in a release Thursday at CoSIDA.com.
Senior middle blocker
Timmi Keisel (Fleming, Colo.) was chosen by a vote of CoSIDA members for her combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Keisel currently has a 4.0 GPA while working on her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. She graduated in the spring of 2019 with a 3.94 GPA in Education. This season Keisel has recorded 106 kills with an attack percentage of .195 and has 37 total blocks. She was named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team for the first time this season, after being named to the honor roll the previous three seasons.
Keisel is the fourth Academic All-District® selection for Chadron State Volleyball since the awards began in 2001, joining Nickie Johnson in 2002, Amanda Green in 2004 and Mollie Jones in 2012.
First Team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 9-12.
