CHADRON, Neb. -- After starting conference play 2-0 for the first time since 1993, the Chadron State volleyball team travels to Colorado to face Colorado Christian and nationally ranked Regis University this weekend.
 
Friday's opponent, the Cougars of Colorado Christian, are 4-7 on the season and 0-3 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. They were swept by Colorado School of Mines and Regis and lost to UCCS in five sets.
 
Offensivley, Colorado Christian is led by Cali Bahnsen, a senior from Greeley, Colorado. Bahnsen leads the team with 112 kills on the young season. Junior setter of Maddie Burns averages 10.08 assists per set, with 393 assists.
 
Katie Henry leads the Cougars with 22 blocks on the season and Mariela Gonzalez has a team high 236 digs, an average of 5.62 per set. Her 5.62 average ranks her second in the RMAC, behind Eagle libero 
Ashton Burditt, who averages 5.81.
 
The 12
th ranked Regis Rangers are 9-2 on the season and undefeated in conference play. During the Colorado Premier Challenge, the Rangers swept the number one ranked team in the nation, The University of Tampa.
 
Names familiar to the RMAC are the leaders for Regis. Returning All-America Nikki Kennedy leads the team with 114 kills and 51 blocks. Kennedy's 51 blocks rank her 12
th in the nation.
 
Two individuals have over 100 digs, led By Caitlyn Burroway with 122 and Mara LeGrand with 105.
 
Lagrand and Silvia Basso have 239 and 203 assists, respectively.
 
The Rangers are coached by Ogallala native, Joel List.
 
First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
