CHADRON, Neb. -- September 25, 2021 -- The Chadron State College volleyball team (3-8, 1-3 RMAC) fell 1-3 to the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers (7-5, 1-3 RMAC) in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rivalry match Saturday night.  

The Eagles had a slow start to the match when they lost the first set 10-25. On 36 attempts they had four kills and seven errors, resulting in a negative hit percentage.  

In set two they bounced back to win 25-19. In their only set win of the night, they came up with 11 kills and only four errors. Outside hitter Amber Harvey contributed four kills and 1.5 blocks in the Eagles' best set. 

The number of errors committed in sets three and four proved to be too big of an obstacle as the Eagles lost 14-25 and 15-25 respectively. They finished the night with 34 kills and 28 errors on 147 total attempts, amounting to a hit percentage of .041. 

Statistical leaders for the Eagles were Amber Harvey, middle hitter Aiyana Fujiyama, setter Audrey Bennett, and libero Rylee Greiman.  

Harvey led the team in kills with 11. She and Fujiyama had 3 blocks on the night.  

Bennett was able to secure 20 assists as the Eagles' lead setter. She also had two service aces. 

Defensive leader for the Eagles was Rylee Greiman, who tied Bennett with 12 digs.  

The Eagles will be away next weekend at Fort Lewis (1-7, 1-3 RMAC) and Western Colorado (7-5, 2-2 RMAC).
