OMAHA, Neb. -- Four offensive players and three defensive players were named All-Midlands Football NCAA D-II First Team while three Eagles were named honorable mention, the Omaha World Herald announced on Friday.
Defensively,
Hunter O'Connor was named the teams honorary captain. He is joined on the defensive first team by
Tanner True and
Joey Geil.
O'Connor, a junior from Broomfield, Colorado, finished the year with 54 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks while playing defensive line. His TFL's resulted in a loss of 68 yards while his sacks were a total of 45 yards loss for CSC's opponents. O'Connor added one interception, 10 QB hurries and a forced fumble with a recovery to his stat line.
True, a sophomore from Eaton, Colorado, was also First Team All-RMAC at defensive line, like O'Connor. True finished the year with 34 tackles, 7.5 TFL and two sacks.
A senior from Casper, Wyoming, Geil had 71 tackles, 6.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks and one interception while playing linebacker. Geil also added two fumble recoveries that he returned for 65 yards.
Offensively,
Jake Marschall,
Tommy Thomas,
Michael DeCamillis and
Peter Krohn were all selected.
Marschall, a freshman running back from Littleton, Colorado, led the Eagles with 591 rushing yards on 129 carries, an average of 4.6 per carry. He scored a total of three touchdowns on the season.
CSC's leader offensively this season was Thomas, a sophomore wide receiver from Fort Collins, Colorado. Thomas had 56 receptions for 926 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown on five carries for 42 yards.
DeCamillis, a senior from Westminster, Colorado, was a four-year starter on the offensive line for Chadron State.
Lastly on the offensive side is Krohn, a junior tight end from Fort Collins, Colorado. Krohn finished 2023 with 19 receptions for 176 yards and four touchdowns.
Wilson Yee, a junior kicker from Littleton, Colorado and
Brodie Eisenbraun, a sophomore punter from Sturgis, South Dakota were both special team selections in their respective positions.
Yee finished 23-26 on PAT's and was 10-15 on field goals, including a 61 yarder. Eisenbraun averaged 42.9 yards per punt, having a long of 67 yards and landing 15 inside the 20-yard line while 14 punts were 50 plus yards.

Dax Yeradi and outside linebacker
Xavier Harrell were all honorable mention selections for CSC. Quarterback Nick Bohn of Wayne State was the offensive honorary captain.
