CHADRON, Neb. -- Both Chadron State basketball teams will be playing Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contests against Western Colorado at home Saturday afternoon, beginning at 1 o'clock with the women's contest. The CSC men have a 3-4 record while the women are 2-4.
The Western Colorado teams had the identical records as the Eagles entering games at Colorado Christian in Lakewood Thursday night, but lost both games to the Cougars.
Colorado Christian won the women's game 80-73 while the Western Colorado men led 36-26 at halftime, but lost 63-58, when the Cougars shot 52% from the field and the Mountaineers just 35% in the second half.
The Colorado Christian teams will be coming to Chadron to play the Eagles in a double-header on Tuesday, Dec. 12, starting at 5:30 in the Chicoine Center. After their sweep of Western Colorado on Thursday night, the Christian women have a 6-3 record and the men's team is 4-4.
The Eagles also will play at home against Regis and Colorado-Colorado Springs on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 16 and 17, respectively. Both double-headers will tipoff at 2 p.m. with the women's teams taking the court first.
