Eagles on road for two RMAC duals

CHADRON, Neb. -- The #15 Chadron State men's wrestling team is traveling to Colorado for a pair of duals this weekend as they wrestle Western Colorado on Saturday and Colorado Mesa on Sunday.  Saturday's dual begins at 6 p.m. and Sunday will start at 2 p.m.

The Eagles take a 5-1 overall and 3-0 RMAC record into the matchups.

Saturday's opponent, the Mountaineers of Western Colorado, are 8-3 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

They have one ranked wrestler in the lineup for Saturday, being #3 Cole Hernandez at 174 pounds. On Tuesday, Hernandez claimed his third straight RMAC Men's Wrestler of the Week Honor. For CSC, Logan Berger is 15-3 and ranked #12 in the weight class.

Western Colorado and CSC both have defeated San Francisco State and Colorado School of Mines this season.

The Mountaineers will face CSU-Pueblo on Friday in Pueblo, Colorado.

Colorado Mesa is currently 5-1 overall and 3-1 in RMAC action. The lone loss was in their last action against Adams State on January 12, ending a 17-match winning streak in RMAC duals for the Mavericks.

Like Western, the Mavericks only have one ranked wrestler. Jason Bynarowicz is 15-3 this season and ranked #7 at 184 pounds. Returning national qualifier Keegan Gehlhausen fills CSC's 184-pound spot.

On Saturday, the Mavericks will host Colorado School of Mines, whom CSC defeated 22-12 last week.

Both duals will be streamed on the RMAC Network.
