CHADRON, Neb. – Eight Chadron State football student-athletes were recognized Tuesday for their work in the classroom as they were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division II Academic All-District team.

Rylan Wehr were the eight Eagles to receive the honor.
It is the first career CSC Academic All-District honors for all eight student-athletes, who were among the 19 Eagles named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll on December 10. Four of the eight All-District honorees (Krohn, O'Brien, O'Connor and Eisenbraun) were previously named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and either play in over 90 percent or start at least 66 percent of their team's games. They also must be at least a sophomore academically.
Liam Blaser, a linebacker from Duncan, Nebraska, has a perfect 4.00 GPA as a biology major. Blaser appeared in all 11 games for the Eagles and finished with 19 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks, including a career-high seven tackles against Fort Lewis.
Brodie Eisenbraun, a native of Sturgis, South Dakota, recently graduated with a 3.97 GPA as a sport, fitness and recreation major. A two-time Second Team All-RMAC punter (2023 and 2024), Eisenbraun averaged over 43 yards per punt, hitting 15 punts of 50-plus yards.
Peter Krohn, a tight end from Fort Collins, Colorado, has a 3.90 GPA as a physical sciences major and plans to go to medical school. The Eagles' starting tight end for all 11 contests, Krohn ranked fifth on the team in catches and receiving yards in 2024 and caught 83 passes for 866 yards over his career.
Logan O'Brien, who hails from Kearney, Nebraska, has a 3.97 GPA as a business marketing major. In eight games, O'Brien recorded 51 tackles, including 10 against New Mexico Highlands, and added three sacks plus a 36-yard interception returned for a touchdown against Adams State.
Hunter O'Connor, a Broomfield, Colorado native, has a 3.51 GPA as a sport, fitness and recreation major while pursuing a master's in sports management and starting all 11 games. O'Connor, who was recently named a Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-American, is Chadron State's all-time sack leader and has three First Team All-RMAC selections to his credit.
Sutton Pohlman, a safety from Stanton, Nebraska, has a 3.91 GPA as a physical sciences major. Pohlman started all 11 games for the CSC defense in 2024, recording 48 tackles and two pass breakups. Pohlman racked up a season-high eight tackles in the season finale against CSU Pueblo.
D'Anthony Smith, an offensive lineman out of Casper, Wyoming, has a 3.63 GPA as a business administration major. Smith started at left tackle for the first nine games of the season before suffering an injury that kept him out for the season's final two games.
Rylan Wehr, a native of Douglas, Wyoming, has a perfect 4.00 GPA as a business administration major. Wehr appeared in 10 of 11 games as a key contributor on special teams, coming up with one of the biggest moments of the season when he recovered a punt snap fumble in the end zone for the game-winning touchdown against Jamestown.
Eisenbraun and O'Connor were selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists, meaning they will be advanced to a national ballot for potential Academic All-America selection voted on by college sports information directors. The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® teams (first, second and third team) will be announced Tuesday, January 28.
