CHADRON, Neb. – Led by Academic Defensive Player of the Year
Logan O'Brien, the Chadron State College football program placed four players on the league's offensive, defensive and special teams All-Academic First Teams, along with 24 on the All-Academic Honor Roll.
O'Brien earned a 2025 defensive spot alongside senior safety
Sutton Pohlman while redshirt sophomore wide receiver
Garet Schlabs and redshirt senior punter
Brodie Eisenbraun also took home First Team honors.
O'Brien has now earned RMAC First Team All-Academic for the third consecutive season, joining CSU Pueblo kick returner and running back Moosah Alsaffar, Western Colorado defensive end Ricky Freymond and Colorado School of Mines safety Will Ramsey as three-time honorees. It is the second straight First Team nod for Eisenbraun and the first career selection for Pohlman and Schlabs.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport who academically maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition.
Each institution's athletic communications directors nominate student-athletes who academically maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, along with the other criteria for the Academic Honor Roll, for recognition on the First Team Academic All-RMAC in each sport. The league's athletic communications directors for that sport vote to compose the First Team Academic All-RMAC and select the Academic Player of the Year. They are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.
The Eagles had four of the league's 27 total first-team selections, the fourth-most among RMAC rosters. Chadron State was one of six institutions with multiple picks. Chadron State's 24 honor roll selections were sixth among the RMAC's 10 football schools.
Western Colorado quarterback Drew Nash was named the Offensive Academic Player of the Year alongside O'Brien, with both players doubling up after being named the RMAC's on-field Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively. The RMAC does not award an Academic Special Teams Player of the Year.
O'Brien boasts a 3.97 GPA as a business marketing major. The senior ranked in the RMAC's top five in tackles (85), tackles for loss (14.5) and sacks (5.5). He has been awarded First Team All-RMAC and First Team D2CCA All-Region this season.
Eisenbraun graduated with a 3.97 GPA as a sport, fitness and recreation major and is maintaining a 4.0 in his digital marketing graduate program. Eisenbraun, who is no stranger to academic honors after becoming Chadron State's 30
th Academic All-American in 2024, was named the RMAC's Special Teams Player of the Year and a First Team D2CCA All-Region selection this season.
Pohlman earns a coveted First Team All-Academic selection after appearing on the honor roll for each of the past three seasons (2022-24). The Stanton, Nebraska native graduated with a 3.91 undergraduate GPA as a business administration major and has a 4.0 GPA in his MBA program. In his career, Pohlman has played 42 games with 170 tackles (100 solo) plus an interception.
Garet Schlabs has a perfect 4.0 GPA as a health and physical education major and appeared on the RMAC All-Academic honor roll in 2024. Schlabs was CSC's second-leading receiver in catches (25), receiving yards (311) and receiving touchdowns (3) and had his best game against Division I Northern Colorado (five catches, 63 yards).
