CHADRON, Neb. – After a six-week layoff following their first competition of the indoor season, Chadron State track and field will return to competition this Saturday at the David Little Invite, hosted by Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota.
This Saturday's meet will kick off a stretch of seven consecutive weekends with at least some of the CSC track program taking part in competition, culminating in the RMAC Indoor Championships from February 27-28 in Gunnison, Colorado.
The one-day meet will start at 9:30 a.m. with the men's and women's weight throw, followed by the shot put. Running events are scheduled to begin at 10:25 a.m. with the distance medley relays and culminate with the 4x400 relays at approximately 4:20 p.m.

Looking Back
The Chadron State men finished first out of three teams while the women placed second at the season-opening Birds and the Bees Alumni Open at the Nelson Physical Activity Center in Chadron back on December 15.

Among the standout performances were a double event win by sprinter
Joshua St. Jean in the men's 60 and 200-meter dashes, seven CSC runners in the top eight of the men's 400 meters and a shot put win by Wyoming transfer
Shelby Ekwall.
Performance Lists
Many Chadron State athletes have marks that rank among the RMAC's best this season.
Joshua St. Jean has the fifth-fastest 60 meter time (6.85 seconds) and the third-fastest 200-meter time (22.16). Teammate
Esosa Iyengunmwena is also in the top five of the 200, ranking fifth with his time of 22.34 seconds. Iyengunmwena is 12
th in the 60 at 6.97 seconds.
Ryan Clapper currently boasts the second-fastest 400-meter time in the conference at 48.55 seconds. He is only one one-hundredth of a second behind leader Sebastien Jean of UCCS (48.54). Chadron State has five of the top 10 in the 400, as Clapper is joined by
Christopher Cormier (6
th, 49.75),
Ayden Hartzell (8
th, 50.15),
Jacob Jefferson (9
th, 50.16) and
Hunter Lund (10
th, 50.18).
As a result of that depth in the 400, the Eagle 4x400 relay team of Cormier, Clapper,
Kadin Perez and Hartzell has the second-fastest time in the league at 3:18.97.
In field events,
Chayton Bynes has the fourth-farthest RMAC triple jump this season at 14.46m (47-5.25).
Keaton Mills ranks 11
th in the high jump with a mark of 1.88m (6-2).
For the CSC women,
Camila Salvucci ranks fourth in the RMAC with her season-best mark of 11.64m (38 feet-2.25 inches).
Madison Clause ranks tied for 14
th in the pole vault after clearing 3.20 meters (10-6) during the December 15 meet.
The Eagles have two of the RMAC's top 10 in the women's shot put, with
Shelby Ekwall fifth (13.09m, 42-11.5) and
Ashlyn Tapio tied for eighth (12.49m, 40-11.75). Ekwall and Tapio also rank 14
th and 15
th, respectively, in the RMAC in the weight throw.
