DAYTONA, Fla. – Chadron State spirit finished with a score of 77.9399 at the 2025 NCA Nationals, bringing the program's first-ever nationals competition to an end with the Eagles in 24th place.
The Eagles had a performance score of 78.4 and received 1.25 points of deductions. CSC had a relatively clean routine, with 10 of 25 competing programs receiving equal to or more deduction points than the Eagles.
Chadron State finished nine-tenths of a point behind Nebraska-Kearney in 23rd place and were eight points clear of Auburn University at Montgomery in 25th.
Saturday's routine came in the finals and accounted for 75 percent of CSC's total score while Friday's preliminary round accounted for 25 percent.
Saginaw Valley State earned the national championship in the Intermediate Small Coed Division II Finals division that CSC participated in. SVSU finished with an event score of 93.3704, winning by roughly 1.2 points over second-place Lubbock Christian and 1.3 points over third-place Northeastern State University. Colorado School of Mines, the only other RMAC school in CSC's division, placed eighth.
Saturday's result winds down a milestone campaign for Eagle spirit, as the program previously earned a first-ever bid to nationals as a result of their performance at a camp in August prior to competing nationally for the first time when they executed Friday's routine.
