Chadron State College Athletics

2017—An ankle injury prevented her from competing in 2016.  The good news is, she’s fully recovered and had national meet provisional qualifying marks of 8.72 and 8.53 seconds at the two December meet the Eagles entered.
2015—Tessa transferred to Chadron State and set both of Chadron State’s high hurdle records, running the 60-meter race in 8.51 and the 100 highs in 13.99. She placed second at the RMAC Indoor Meet and was fourth at the Outdoor Meet. She qualified for the DII National Indoor Meet and barely missed qualifying for the outdoor meet.  She was the lead runner on the 4x100 relay team that set the CSC record of 3:51.90.
Before Chadron State:   As a senior at Rapid City Central in 2013,  she won the Class AA 100-meter high hurdles at the South Dakota State Meet in 14.72 seconds and was third in the 300 lows in 47.06.  Her career-best time of 14.10 seconds in the highs ranked as the second fastest in South Dakota high school annals.  She was on the track team at the University of Northern Iowa in 2014 before switching to CSC.
Personal: Another strong student with a 3.9 cumulative GPA. Daughter of Dave and Tammy Gorsuch. Her brother, Brandon, was a quarterback for the CSC football teams in 2011 and 2012.
