Biography
2018—Has improved immensely since arriving at Chadron State four years ago and is expected to be a team leader on the track for the Lady Eagles again.
2017—Ran the 400 meters in 57.89 indoors and 56.86 outdoors, placing her fourth all-time on both Chadron State lists. She was third in the 400 at the RMAC Indoor Championships and was sixth outdoors. She also ran on the 4x400 relay teams that had the fifth-best time (4:00.87) indoors and second-best (3:49.30) outdoors in CSC annals.
2016—Added the 800 meter to her collegiate repertoire and had bests of 2:19.02 indoors and 2:20.15 outdoors. She also ran on the distance medley relay team that set the school record indoors. Another highlight was a 58.08 mark in the 400 outdoors.
2015—Had bests of 27.26 in the 200 meter and 1:00.36 in the 400 meter indoors and 27.14 and 1:01.13 outdoors.
Before Chadron State: Won both the 400 meter in 1:00.9 and the 800 meter in 2:33.3 at the Class D District Meet while running for Garden County High School.
Personal: Like a dozen other women on the CSC track and field team, she was cited by the RMAC for her academic prowess the last two years. Daughter of Will and Sandy Heelan.
