Biography

2018-19 Outlook: Coming off a banner season and will return from an injury in the second semester after student-teaching in the fall
2017-18: Finished regional runner-up and advanced to the NCAA Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a record of 21-10...Led the team with 37 takedowns and third with 38 escapes...He was also named RMAC Wrestler of the Week on December 19, 2017.
2016-17: Part-time starter at 141 for the Eagles, going 12-8 ... took a step forward in his college career, taking third place at the Viking Warrior Open and 5th at the Wisconsin Open
2015-16: Earned a 6-6 record with 2 pins on the season. 
2014-15: Redshirted for the Eagles at 141 … Coach Hunter says, “We are going to count on him next year … he will win a lot of matches for CSC.”
High School: An honored athlete for Watervliet High School … was All-State in wrestling three times … won the state tournament twice … Also earned All-State for cross country … was a nine time All-State track medalist including a state championship in the 200 meter dash … was his class president, member of national honor society, and graduate with a 4.04 grade point average.
Personal: Son of Tonya and Mike Thumm … has a brother Brett who wrestles for Wabash College in Indiana … plans to major in Health Sciences.
