2011-12: Was the Eagles’ starting point guard in all 27 games and blossomed into a floor leader … He averaged 8.7 points a game and 2.1 rebounds but more importantly he handed out 63 assists and shot over 43 percent from the field and 78 percent from the foul line … Scored a career-high 17 points against Colorado Mines and dished out six assists against Regis in early December … He led the team in assists 12 times during the season … He was named to the Omaha World-Herald’s Nebraska Division II team as an honorable mention following the season … Unfortunately, Sammy suffered a knee injury during the opening days of preseason practice and will redshirt in 2012-13 … He’s expected to make a full recovery.
2010-11: Played in 25 games, averaging 5.4 points, and 1.8 rebounds and assists ... Sammy has long arms for a player his size and has the ability to be a tenacious defender … Scored in double digits three times, including a career-high 11 points against Metro State.
