2020: One of the more veteran players at the position and should provide leadership in the position group and on the field if called upon.
2019: Continued to fill in as a reserve tight end on occasion, appearing again versus Black Hills State.
2018: Caught a 13-yard touchdown pass in third quarter of season opener against Black Hills State, filling in at tight end for starter Colt Foster ... also appeared in week three game against Fort Lewis.
2017:  Trained with quarterbacks during redshirt season.
High School: School record holder for season and career passing yardage ... 2015 Smoky Hill HS Offensive Player of the Year ... 2016 Team MVP.
Personal: Son of Erick and Christine Avila ... Siblings are Alia, Arial, Kayla, Kourtney, and Aciano.
