Chadron State College Athletics

2013: A gritty veteran wide receiver who does anything he can to help the team … He appeared in 11 games, finishing with two receptions for 23 yards … He also had six special teams tackles … He’s one of the fastest players on the team and has the ability to stretch defenses.
2012: Appeared in three games as an alternate wide receiver and special teams player … Tested well during spring conditioning drills and is among the strongest players pound-for-pound on the team.
2011: Played in six games but didn’t record any statistics … An RMAC All-Academic honorable mention selection.
2010: Redshirted during his first season at CSC.
High School: Became acquainted with Chadron State after assistant coach Chris Stein talked to him at a camp in Georgia … He then made a visit to the campus and felt at home … Played wide receiver but his high school team rarely passed … On defense, he had 29 tackles and broke up two passes … Also played basketball and ran the 200 meters in track.
Personal: Son of Phillip and Marilyn Thompson … A sports and recreational management major with a 3.22 GPA … He enjoys to read in his spare time … Born Aug. 26 … Has five siblings: Erin, Sean, Phillip Jr., Yusef and Kenny.
