Biography

High School: Ran and threw 12,527 yards during his prep career to set the Nebraska all-class record and the national eight-man record for most total yards rushing and passing... as a senior at Neleigh-Oakdale High, he completed 194 of 297 passes (65.4%) and 27 touchdowns while also rushing 303 times for 2,147 yards (7.1 ave.) and 49 touchdowns... The Omaha and Lincoln newspapers and Huskerland Prep named him the Class D1 Offensive Player of the Year... credited with 560 career tackles besides intercepting 10 passes, three of which he returned for touchdowns... had a 44-0 record and won the Class D 170-pound state wrestling championship his senior year.
