2011: Brandon jumped into action twice during the season and filled in admirably well … The first time he saw snaps was during the second half of the Eagles’ opening game at the University of Mary after Jonn McLain left the game with a head injury … In that game, Gorsuch completed 20 of 35 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns … He didn’t play in CSC’s next game against Angelo State but following the contest the team learned McLain broke a bone in his hand that forced him to the sidelines for the remainder of the season, meaning Gorsuch was now the Eagles’ main quarterback … He made the most of his opportunity and led the Eagles to a 6-3 record the rest of the season … He completed 199 of 330 passes for 2,089 yards and 18 touchdowns … He averaged 208.9 passing yards each game, which ranks him third on CSC’s all-time passing yards per game chart … His 199 completions are the third-most in school history for a season … He threw for a season-high 315 yards against CSU-Pueblo and had 29 completions, the seventh most in school history … “Brandon really stepped in last season and did a nice job,” offensive coordinator Chris Stein said. “He did what we needed him to do and he’s a valuable member of the team.” … Named to the RMAC All-Academic Second Team.
2010: Redshirted during his first season at Chadron State.
Before CSC: Gorsuch transferred to the University of South Dakota after two seasons at Arizona Western College in Yuma, Ariz., but left before the fall season ... At Arizona Western, he was an All-Region I selection at quarterback after throwing for 1,892 yards and 13 touchdowns and was the Mississippi Bowl MVP ... Had a 12-4 record as a starting QB.
