Biography

Outlook: Terrific at playing the ball, Brian Wood moves from cornerback to field safety where he should be a disruptive force in the passing lanes and can also play short
2015: Started seven games, appearing in all eleven, at the cornerback position ... made 61 tackles and tied for team lead with two interceptions ... Wood's seven pass breakups and nine passes defended were team-highs

High School: Had a stellar season at quarterback but will roam the defensive backfield for Chadron State … He threw for 1,786 yards and 21 touchdowns and added 283 yards and four TDs rushing … Defensively, he had 90 tackles, three interceptions and broke up six passes … He was a first team all-league selection three years in a row and all-area twice … Has been timed in the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds … He also ran on his high school’s relay team.
Personal: Son of Brian and Denise … Has six siblings that compete collegiately, including his twin brother Ryan.
