Monument Health logo - 2Chase McLendon is a dedicated Strength and Conditioning Coach with a comprehensive background in athletic performance and coaching. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Defiance College, where he also competed as a Tight End on the football team from 2014 to 2017. Chase furthered his education with a Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Science from Chadron State College, where he has been an integral part of the Strength and Conditioning program for seven years.
In addition to his academic and athletic achievements, Chase is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and holds the Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) credential from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). These certifications underscore his expertise in developing effective training programs and implementing advanced conditioning techniques.
Chase’s career path includes valuable experience as an Athletic Performance Intern at the University of Minnesota during the summer of 2018, where he worked alongside leading professionals to refine his skills. He transitioned to Chadron State College as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach from 2018 to 2020, and since 2020, he has served as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach to athletic development, integrating evidence-based strength training with strategic conditioning and injury prevention. Chase is committed to maximizing athletic performance while fostering resilience and long-term success in athletes.

Chase has actively contributed to his community through volunteer work. He annually participates in The Big Event, a large-scale community service initiative. Additionally, Chase has been involved with the local Chamber of Commerce, participating in events and initiatives that promote local business and community development.
Outside of his professional life, Chase is supported by his wife Kelly and their young son Duke. The McLendon family enjoys spending time together, exploring the outdoors, and engaging in various recreational activities. Chase’s commitment to family life complements his passion for strength and conditioning, balancing his professional pursuits with a fulfilling personal life.
